Chemeketa Storm Information & Media Policies
NWAC SPORTSMANSHIP STATEMENT: “The NWAC promotes good sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches, and spectators, and requests your cooperation by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner. Profanity, racial or sexist comments, or other intimidating actions directed at officials, student athletes, coaches, or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of competition.”
Non-Participant Policy: During an event or at the conclusion of each event spectators or media are not allowed on the field or court. Outdoors media can wait in the media area for access to players and coaches for interviews. Fans must wait in the spectator area or the parking lot for to connect with their student athletes or coaches. Indoors media can wait in the media area for access to players and coaches for interviews. Fans can wait in the lobby area for their student athletes or coaches.
Interviews: Non-Gameday interviews with Storm coaches, student-athletes, and staff members must be coordinated through David Abderhalden, Athletic Director.
Practices: Storm practices are open to the media as long as one provides a 48-hour advance notice of attendance and are credentialed media members. Please contact the Athletics Operation Office for authorization.
Press Passes: Press Pass requests by credentialed media members are available by providing a written request via email a minimum of 24-hours prior to the day of the event you are planning to attend. The Athletics Operations Office will provide rosters, and statistics, prior to to each requested contest and statistical information immediately following each contest.
Game Day interviews: Locker rooms will be closed immediately following each game. Player and coach interviews may be conducted in the designated media area after a minimal cooling off period but no more than 10 minutes after the end of the contest.
photographer/Videographer Passes: The Athletics Operations Office coordinates photography/videography access for all Storm home events. All requests must be made prior to 48-hours before the requested event. Non-credentialed media issues will be subject to entering into a information share agreement to receive a credential. Only those who receive credentials will be allowed access to designated areas closer to the events. Non-credentialed spectators must remain in the spectator areas.
Youth Sports Team Attendance: If you are interested in bringing a youth organization to a Chemeketa Athletic event we are happy to host your group. To arrange your groups attendance please contact the Athletic Operations Office to establish what we need from you in order to get your group in the desired event. Smaller groups 30 or less are free with the proper documentation, and larger groups of more than 30 will be drastically discounted. A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to accommodate your request.
Live Stats/Live Video: All home Storm Athletic events will be live streamed via video. Live stats will be available at all home men's and women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball, and softball games.
